This rectangular compote is a gorgeous thing. About 16x9, and standing 6 inches tall, this is a fantastic piece for use or display. The handpainted gold and shaded red floral embellishments are beyond eye-catching. This piece is not marked, but a guess for maker might be Worcester or early Josiah Spode. The style suggests c. 1810-1820.
